I had wonderful time back in Japan for my daughter’s summer holiday.
And that means I spend more time with her and I have to choose the right outfit.
While I love to dress up in certain ways, I usually am more casual when I’m with her.
This mustard yellow pants has been my favourite for its colour and shape (and it’s super stretchy!) and worked for for for a while.
But I wore them too much and they are looking little tired… so now they are working for me when I have closet organise session or when I go outside with my daughter.
I usually do not down-grade those dresses to your home wear (I rather buy those one-mile outfits to suit the purpose) but this one is bit special :)
I have a navy pants and down-graded them but met a rookie.
Likewise, hope I’ll meet with another rookie for my “on” attire.
One of my closet rules is that I keep the basic pants that I really loved and be on alert to a rookie.
So that means I keep 2 similar pants for my “on” and “off”.
Before you start throwing away all the old clothes, you may want to reconsider which one you should keep :)
I’m a professional closet organiser but I never start my session saying to my clients throw this and that.

日本はお盆ですね。
今週はまだムスメの学校がお休みなので、ワタシものんびりしています。
夏の一時帰国の写真整理をしていたら、ムスメが撮ってくれていた写真を発見♡
前回の春の一時帰国もそうでしたが、日本ではムスメと過ごす時間も増えるのでワタシもカジュアル度がアップします。
この日履いていたマスタードイエローのパンツ、もうここ何年か大活躍してくれています。
コーディネートしやすいし、ストレッチ感が好みで。
でもね。
さすがにそろそろ生地がお疲れちゃんで、オンに履くのはちょっと。。。
なのでクローゼットオーガナイズの作業のある日や、ムスメと公園に出かけるときなんか用に2軍にしてみました。
外で着ていたワンピを格下げして家着・・・にはしないワタシですが(家着とかワンマイル服は別に買いたい)、差し色にもなって肌によく馴染んだパンツは別扱い。
ネイビーのセオリーのパンツも同じような運命を辿り、この夏ルーキーに出会えました。
オン用に、ね。
秋物が出回り、特にボルドーがまた気になるシーズンではありますが、こんな明るい色のパンツに出会ったら、オン用に買う予定です。
お洗濯もガンガンする夏。
子どもと過ごしても全体のイメージを壊さない2軍選手パンツ、あると助けられるかも♡
