I recently visited two homes for kitchen organization. At the same time, I organized mine. This cabinet is located at my eye level and thus I need a footstool to access to the upper area. I had stored these items here. The pictures are all “BEFORE”.

<*Before*>

As I rarely use this area, I even stored champaign glasses facing in front instead of upwards. This will make it so easy for me to take them out :-)

Upper:
Things that I don’t use it often, like wine glasses for guests, tea cups, espresso machines, and some occasional plates. I put champagne glasses horizontally for easier access. I put stemless wine tumblers as shown to maximize the space. BTW, I have 4 of them in total for red and white. Since I use the same glasses everyday, I store one of each sized at more accessible area just for my self.

Bottom, easy-to access & within my proxy area:

Things that I use everyday, such as water glasses (and the wine glasses), tea cups and cookbooks. I chose pretty-looking books to hide others behind.

This area was functional for me and and it is closed nicely with white cabinet doors. Yet, when I look close to it, I was not satisfied with its look (I’m a right-brainer and prefers appearance to functionality for certain things). Next article will follow to show the “AFTER”.

おはようございます。

私、オーガナイザーとしてヒトサマのお宅にあーだこーだと言っているわけですが、
その前に自宅を片づけるべし。と常に自分に言い聞かせております。
(まだまだ我が家には魔窟エリアがいっぱい・・・汗。)

最近2軒のお宅でキッチンのオーガナイズをしました。

と同時に我が家の吊り戸棚もオーガナイズ☆
やはり一応お見せできる状態にしなきゃ、ですよね。笑

Beforeです。

上段には踏み台が必要なので、毎日は使わないものを収納していました。
(お客様用のワイングラス、カップの一部、ブルー系のお皿、普段使わないエスプレッソポットなど)
シャンパングラスにいたっては、台に乗ってそのまま取り出せるよう、横向きに収納。

右のDAISOのハンドル付きのカゴには、足のないタイプのワイングラスを。
サイズをずらすとぴったり収納できて気に入っていました。
2種類のこのグラス、全部で4つ持っていますが、それぞれ1つずつのグラスは、
私の「毎日の」晩酌用に、取り出しやすい下段に。

下段にはグラス、カップにレシピ本。
レシピ本エリアには、表紙がかわいい本を立てかけて目隠し(のつもり。よく見ると隠せてない)。
この裏にはオレ○ジページなんかも隠れている、主婦感満載のエリアです。

普段は扉を閉じているし、私の中では機能的で悪くはなかったのですが、娘グッズのピンクや
形の違う箱達が気になったので、ちょこっとテコ入れ。

使ったのはMUJIのバスケット。
実は同じような自然素材のイケアのバスケットも考えたのですが(深さがあった)、
重さもあったので少々不安で。
こちらのMUJIを使うことにしました。

ちなみに。
シンガポールでは色々なお店が「在庫ナシ。入荷時期未定。」なことが多いので、本当に必要なモノは
事前に電話で在庫を確認してからでかけております。
