Another challenges my client was facing were that her cabinets are too high for her height and the cabinets had frosted glass doors where you almost can see what’s inside.

I recommended a stable step stool as well as baskets with handles where she can put small items inside and easily pull them out. Well, she found better than that.
With a stool, now she’s able to access up to the highest shelves and she founds natural tone colored matching baskets for better look.

You can decide what (kind of baskets) suit best for your storage space. As for me, I use DAISO plastic baskets for my pantry (=daily/practical) and rattan baskets for guest wine glasses (=special/emotional).

When we last met for the organization work, she changed some of her recycled glass jars to matching jars and displays things she feels comfortable by looking at them at all the time.

In between our session, she started to work by herself. It’s always good to see people moving forward and start taking action by themselves.

What delighted me the most was that she told she started to see what she really wants to do and found the direction for it during our organising session. It worked really well on her to clear off her mind by organising her kitchen.

前回の記事(オリーブの木の優しい表情が素敵なキッチン1と2)の続きです。

もう一つキッチンで使いづらいなと思われていたのが、高い位置にある吊り戸棚。
一番下の段は届くけれど、それ以上になるとかなり使いにくい・・・
天井まである吊り戸棚でしたが、確かに一番上の段まで使いこなすにはやはりツールが必要。

まずはしっかりとした踏み台と、DAISOなどで買えるハンドルつきのプラスティックカゴをオススメしました。
それから、グルーピングはされていたものの色々なモノがあり、色の氾濫で心地よさが半減するので、使用頻度に応じて、色にも意識しながら作業をしました。

踏み台を買われた結果、上部まで手が届くようになり、見た目にもオシャレなカゴで統一。
収納アイテムにどこまでお金をかけるかは人それぞれですが、ここは今後生徒さんの目に触れるかも?
そして扉がすりガラスなので色味を統一したい、ということで、素敵なカゴを探されました。

ちなみに我が家のように、ふつうのキッチンにはDAISOのカゴで十分かなと(粉類のストック)。
ただ、私の中でちょっと気分がアガる部分には、ちょこっと美収納を意識しています(ゲスト用のグラス)。

中央部には普段使いのグラスや茶器などを、ゆったり収納。
(写真に見えているピンクの箱、今度カルトナージュで好みのモノにするそう♡)
一番高いところには、軽くてそう頻繁に使うものではないものを。

作業最終日までに少し時間があいたのですが、もう今までの収納がいやーと、
どんどんお一人で片づけれました。
一度キレイな状態を経験すると(しかもそれが自分が作ったものならば)、散らかすのが嫌に
なるんですね。

トップのお写真で、木のふたのキャニスターがとても素敵ですが、
もともと少しバラバラなものが入っていたのを、結果統一されました。

キッチンをやると他の場所も気になってーと、すでに美しく居心地の良かったリビング・ダイニングも
さらに美しくなっている模様。

一番嬉しかったのが、カウンセリングをした後に、「自分のやりたいこと、目指す方向が分かった。
頭の中がとてもすっきりした。」と言って頂いたこと。

ちょっとしたきっかけで、何かが変わるってステキだなぁと思います。

我が家の片付けも進めないと(まだ終わってないんかい)!
