[:en]A massive earthquake happened in Nepal this weekend have broke many of hearts.

The death toll is unfortunately rising, and as a place with many long-concerned buildings, we may face more sad news.

This time I have received the global emergency disaster alert on time and immediately called a friend of my in Katmandu.
The mobile network was still working that time and I’ve learnt he and his family were safe. However, he was concerned that many buildings were toppled off even in Katmandu and trapping people.

In response to the disaster, Singapore government is to contribute S$100,000 to Singapore Red Cross and preparing to send search and rescue as well as a medical team to the affected site.

Singaporean humanitarian NGO Mercy Relief is also preparing to send a assessment team with some emergency supplies.

I believe more information and plans will be available after Monday, I’m sharing below information for those who wish to send your loves to the affected community.

I have sent some to Mercy Relief in my efforts to pay my debt of gratitudes for what they’ve done for Tohoku earthquake in 2011.

Hoping for the safety of the friends, families and the affected communities in Nepal.

ニュースに心を痛めている方も多いのではないでしょうか。

震源が首都から離れたものの、現時点で2000名以上が亡くなっているとのこと。
以前から地震による建物の崩壊が懸念されていたので、救助活動が行われているものの、今後のニュースが気になるところです。

たまたますぐに地震のことを知ったので、首都カトマンズの友人に電話をしたところ、無事に通じました。
ただ、無事は確認できたものの、首都もかなり揺れ周りにも崩壊した建物があるという、いつもより緊張した声の彼の声がまだ耳に残っています。

シンガポール政府は55名の捜索救難隊と15名の医療チームの派遣準備中だったり、
10万Sドルをもってシンガポール赤十字経由の緊急支援アピールに対応したりしています。

シンガポールの人道支援NGOのMercy Reliefも調査隊の派遣を予定していたりと、当然週末にも関わらず動きがあります。

月曜以降に更なる動きがありそうですが、まずは何かしたい、気になるという方に届けば幸いです。

ワタシは心ばかり、以前東北の震災でお世話になったMercy Reliefに送らせて頂きました。

被災された方とご家族のご無事を祈るばかりです。
