These are some of plastic hangers that used for the shooting. I use the same ones in white. I’ve seen many closets but the hangers are tend to be overlooked. Why we need to invest for hangers where you can even get them for free from your laundry shops?

Once you experience the beauty of a systematic and neat looking closet, you don’t want to go back. Having same coloured and same sized hanger will not only look beautiful but also functional to find a wardrobe you want.

And moreover, if you want to spend some time to organise your wardrobe, why don’t we aim for better?

And quite interestingly, your life style and behavioural patter is usually reflected in your selection of the hangers.

There are many shapes and materials for hangers nowadays; classic wood, plastic, and you may have seen quilted hangers for special dresses. Rather recently, we have non-slip type hangers with silicon and velvet. Some of you may prefer metallic for its cool look.

I’ve tried many types and currently adopted all-white plastic hangers.

White for the look, and plastic for functionality. With the plastic hangers, I can hang may clothes after laundry and directly bring back to my closet (for those clothes do not need to be ironed). I love the look for white wooden hangers but I have not time to spend changing hangers when they are dry and time to be taken back to my wardrobe. Moreover, my current closet is not that big so I rather go for slimmer plastic hangers. And I still liked the other hangers but settled down to my current choice. It may change in the future, but I’m happy at the moment.

Well, but this is only “my way”. I have adopted different style for my husband’s closet. Will share more in my next post.

撮影のために購入したプラスティックのハンガー。
私はこちらの白を使っています。

これまで色々な方のクローゼットを拝見していますが、ハンガーはまだまだ見落とされがちです。

クリーニング店からもらえるし、わざわざ買いそろえる方はまだ少数派かもしれません。

ただね、一度ずらーっと同じハンガーが並んだ姿を見ると、もう後戻りできなくなる方が多いです。
せっかくご依頼下さって、時間もお金も使っているのだから、よりステキを目指したいじゃないですか。
開けてうっとり♡みたいな。

そしてこのハンガー選び、結構その方の効き脳やライフスタイルが出るんです。

ハンガーっていろんな素材があります。
ウッドにシリコン(mawaハンガーが有名)、ベルベット素材。
そして前述のプラスティック。
キルティングされているものもありますね。
それから、メタリックなものがお好みの方もいらっしゃるかもしれませんね。

私ハンガーだけは若い頃から色を揃えていました。
12年前に結婚してアメリカに住んだのを機に、ずらーっと一式揃えました。
そして服によって色々買ってみたりもしました。

でね、結局落ち着いたのが以下のとおり。

私の服はすべて白のプラスティックハンガー。

見た目と合理性を自分のクローゼットに重視している私は、洗濯からクローゼットまでそのまま使えるプラスティックのものを選びました。
スカートハンガーとか滑り落ちないハンガーの機能性も捨てがたいですが、そうすると見た目がバラバラに。
白いウッドもステキだけど、ハンガー収納がメインなので、全ての服をお洗濯の後にかけ直すなんて面倒。
それに私のメインのクローゼットはそんなに広くないので、ウッドハンガーの幅も気になる。
多少の苦労(襟ぐりのあいたトップスが滑りやすいとか)をしてでも、見た目と合理性にとことんこだわっています。

ただ、これは私の場合。
夫のクローゼットはまた違うんですね。
