J+PLUSの記事で盛り上がりをみせていたスペシャルイベントinシンガポール。

ついに開催された、ミスユニバースジャパンのディレクター、イネス・リグロンさんの
ビューティーイベントに参加してきました。

ご自宅でのチャリティイベントとは規模も違い、朝から夕方まで、盛りだくさんの内容でした。

ウォーキングレッスンに始まり、プロのカメラマンによる参加者一人ずつのフォトセッションに
終わったイベント。

ベースのコンテンツやキーメッセージはご自宅でのチャリティーイベントの内容が中心でした。

すばらしい写真やブログレポは主催の企業さんと他のブロガーさんにお任せさせて頂くとして。

私は、今日感じた、いくつかのことを書かせて頂くことにします。

①イネスさんはママン

「このコ(女性)をキレイにしたい」
「知性ある日本人女性に、もっと美しくなってほしい」

これまでも何度も耳にしたコトバですが、タフな環境を生き抜いてきたモデルの女性たちを
ご自身の実の娘のように思われていました。
(ご自身は男の子のママンです。)
中には「最初に会った時は、まだ学校の制服を着ていたのよ」なんてモデルの方も。
今日、4名ものファイナリスト達をシンガポールに呼び寄せたイネスさん。
母親の愛が伝わらなければ、できなかったことでしょう。

今日のイベント参加者は、モデルの彼女たちよりも年上のメンバーが多かったと思いますが、
美に関する教育方針の前に、みんながイネスさんの娘でした。

②こだわり

当初、イネスさんが会場として考えていたFour Seasons Hotel上層階のスペース。
参加者数が増えたため、2階の大きなBall roomでのイベント開催となったそうです。

でも、最初のその場所がとても気に入って、ランチの場所として指定されたそう。

たくさんの日の光が入る、窓からの眺めの美しい場所でした。

そんなこだわりを、たまたまお隣に座ってランチをご一緒できた私にも、
さらっと語ってくれるお人柄が好きです。

③美の師匠

ファッションに関する辛口コメントは、いつも通り☆
本でも沢山言われていることではありますが、本人を目の前にしてズバリ言いきってしまう姿勢が、
やはりプロなんだなぁと。

④思いやり

実は今日一日のセッションで一番ぐっときた言葉。

“I wish economy in Japan will be better.
I hope everyone in Japan will have homes.”
(日本の経済が良くなりますように。みんなが住む場所を持てますように。)

来週お誕生日を迎えるイネスさん。
サプライズケーキのろうそくを消す際の、願い事でした。

イベント早朝に香港から戻り、数時間の仮眠の後に臨んだいう今日のイベント。
ご本人が一番疲れているはずなのに、イベント終了後の心ゆるむ時間に、そう仰いました。
もちろんその後にユーモアあふれるwishesも交えて。
… Can I do the same?

⑤ロールモデル

終日「美しくなるために」とレクチャーをされたイネスさん。
その後すぐに、こんな発言が。

本業がありながら、チャリティー活動をされるイネスさん。
本業を上手にチャリティーに生かせる能力とバイタリティ。

マルチタスクをスマートにこなす女性、そしてひとりの人格者として、
お会いできたことに感謝しています。

All you need is love.
私も自分の人生で本当にやりたいことを見失わないように。
また新たにスタートしたいと思います。

So, finally the day has come. The very first big official workshop event by Ines Ligron in Singapore “Ines Style Beauty Transformation” kicked off at a luxurious ball room of Four Seasons Hotel with walking session led by top finalists flew from Japan and Hong Kong.

There we learnt make-up tips, fashion styling (especially dos and don’ts), hair styling as well as posing for professional camera shoot — most some of us learnt from her charity sessions at her place. There shall be event reports from other bloggers and the event organizer with photos soon, so here I record my personal impressions.

she is such a maman
As we all know, her passion to make women shine is true. She brought up many young ladies to final stages by coaching, guiding and loving them. There were four finalists flew from Japan and HK as their maman called up. That already tells a lot. Those who joined the session today do not have same backgrounds like these barbies, but before Ines, were are all her daughters.

she loves what she loves (not only fashion)
We had our lunch session at top of the hotel. The room had a gorgeous view with lots of natural sun light shining through. She originally wanted her session in that room but it was bit small to accommodate the participants comfortably and she needed to choose the ball room downstairs. Yet she still liked the room and arranged so that we could have lunch there.

she is the master of beauty
Well, her honest and direct comments on beauty are spicy and I love that. She is truly a professional. I like her style and I don’t wear “typical Japanese housewife” style clothes, thus I tend to be spicy too toward my clients (who are typical Japanese housewife) for closet organization with some styling advice. I’m solidifying my advise style, as I also like Zen style(?) where you think how to dress-up with fewer selected items rather than adding volumes. Ines is really a source for my inspiration.

she is SOMEONE
“I wish economy in Japan will be better. I hope everyone in Japan will have homes.” This is what she said when making her birthday wishes in front of us gave her a surprise birthday cake and a song. It was after the long event where she talked about beauty throughout the day (and she came back from Hong Kong that early morning with few hours of sleep). She would have been very exhausted by then and still made such statement, followed by some other wishes with lots of humor. What a person. In fact, this is the words what I was inspired the most.

she is a role model
Ines is mother, master of beauty and someone who make thoughtful statement. Other than her work, she does lots of charity works. She uses her strengths toward her lifework so smartly with great vitality. I am so fortunate to meet with her and get direct inspirations.

Well, I did what I could when someone needed me after I quit my job from the humanitarian field and moved to Singapore. I made a few trips back to Japan after the Tohoku earthquake and am volunteering till now. I join some charity events to share. And now I started off a new business which is what I enjoy but different from what I’ve done before. But with lots of inspiration from Ines, I am hoping to continue to stay who I am really is. Thank you Ines!
